School of Worship - Targu Mures

Vision: To train and release lead worshippers who will "worship in spirit and in truth", lead worshippers who depend on their God given anointing when performing their priesthood duties, lead worshippers who will shepherd the Church into the Holy of holies for true, meaningful encounters with God, lead worshippers who are flexible, sensitive to, and able to deliver the word of the Lord in different geographic, cultural, denominational, racial situations.

The School of Worship is for worship leaders and worship teams and also for individuals who want to align themselves to God's truth when bringing their gift to the altar. Is designed as a 12 weeks intensive course, which includes lectures, small group discussions, one-on-one accountability, work duties, weekly outreaches, instrument and voice lessons, cell band rehearsals.

We want to emphasize that worship is for God, is a response to His revelation, but is also an important tool for intercession, spiritual warfare and the proclamation of truth.

Lectures: You will have approximately 15 hours per week covering topics like Intimacy with God, Personal lifestyle of a worshipper, Biblical and historical foundations for worship, Worship as Intercession and Spiritual Warfare, Songwriting, Music Theory, Team building and putting together a band, Spirit lead Worship, Forms of Worship, Worship in the local Church etc.

Cell bands: Twice a week the students will meet in their cell bands for rehearsals and once a week for fellowship, to discuss the topic of the week, pray for each other and have a chance to share their opinions on the topic.

One-on-one: Once a week you will meet with one of the staff for one-on-one discussions so you can have a chance to openly share your struggles, challenges and victories and also receive prayer.

Worship: Three times a week we'll have worship as a school and once a month will meet as a base for worship and fellowship focusing on ministering to each other and catching up with what God has been doing in our lives.

Intercession: We will have about four hours a week allocated for Prayer and Intercession.

Journaling: Weekly journaling is a great tool for helping the students to process what they've learned and to see how God is working in their life.

Voice lessons: You will learn about Finding your range, Individuality of your voice, Warm-up techniques, Posture and Breathing techniques, Harmonizing, Stage presence etc

Instrument lessons: We will provide Guitar (rhythm, lead, bass), Keyboard, Drums lessons or others upon request (and if available).

Work Duty: Each student is assigned to a work duty. This gives the student the opportunity to serve others and the base. This can include working in the kitchen, maintenance of the base, office work, babysitting, food shopping, graphic art-work, bookkeeping, etc

Weekly Outreach: Each week we will have outreach in the city and surrounding villages. I can be evangelistic or mercy ministry oriented.

Costs

Lecture Phase: The SOW lecture phase is 1600 for westerners and 800 for non-westerners. This includes housing, food and tuition. For books, laundry or other needs the student will need to provide extra funds. Tuition is due upon arrival for the school. The students must provide their own visas, where necessary.

Outreach Phase: The SOW outreach is optional and the cost depends on the location and focus of the outreach.

Dates

The dates for our next SOW are June 23, 2008 through September 12, 2008.

Application Fee. There is a 20 Euros non-refundable application fee. Please send in your application a few months in advance so we can have time to process them and get back to you as soon as possible. That will give you enough time to raise the support needed for the school. Also due to the limited housing opportunity we may need to limit the number of students accepted.

Disclaimer: Students must be 18 years old or older, or have a high school diploma or equivalent. DTS is a prerequisite to further YWAM training. Those who complete DTS are eligible to apply to join YWAM Targu Mures full-time staff. Dates and prices are subject to change. Outreach Phase airfare and grounds fees are possible to be more or less.
